5G Wales Unlocked


Immersive training | Community educational hub

On this DCMS and Welsh Gov-funded project, I served as both product designer/developer and creative lead for the Wales 5G Unlocked initiative. I spearheaded the project from conception through to deployment and launch, creating a community immersive technology hub for local businesses, schools, and the wider community to use for education, entertainment, and business training.

Software | Hardware development

I designed and developed a custom media server along with all the supporting software, including a web app and user portal. This platform allowed users to upload, share, and browse content, including curated galleries of 360-degree immersive media. It was created to connect schools and communities, enabling the sharing of educational resources, training materials, and lesson plans. The system was fully integrated with a dedicated control tablet, featuring a purpose-built app for seamless operation of the immersive space.

Curriculum | Interactive lessons

I developed a comprehensive bank of interactive lesson plans aligned with the UK curriculum, leveraging AI generation tools alongside approved educational resources. This involved curating and creating immersive content, which was then hosted online and made accessible through a dedicated content portal and media library. The platform allowed educators to easily browse, adapt, and implement immersive lessons, ensuring seamless integration into their teaching while enhancing engagement and accessibility.
